2018 JUNO nominee Kellylee Evans is a high-octane, chameleon-like performer whose natural charm and improvisational vocal style embody jazz, soul, pop, and hip-hop. The singer-songwriter won a 2011 JUNO Award and has been captivating audiences along the way, opening for stars such as John Legend, George Benson and Willie Nelson.

Steve Boudreau, piano

Steve Boudreau is an Ottawa-based pianist who specializes in jazz and popular music. He has taught private lessons for over 20 years and is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association, the Eastern Ontario Friends of Conservatory Canada, the AFM, and the Jazz Educators Network.  In 2010 he received a Master of Music degree in jazz performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston. He has toured extensively across the United States and Canada, and has performed as both leader and sideman at various jazz festivals. His recording output includes six solo piano albums, a trio album featuring unique arrangements of the music of George Gershwin, and many collaborations.  His latest trio album, Cherished Possessions, has been receiving praise and radio play all around the world.

Ed Lister, trumpet

Edward Lister is a U.K born trumpeter, composer & educator who has been playing professionally since the age of 15. Edward has been based out of Ottawa, Canada since 2011 and currently runs numerous ensembles and Theatre shows including ‘Decades of Bond’ a tribute to the music of James Bond and ‘Sly High’, a tribute to the music of Sly & the Family Stone through his Entertainment company ‘ELM productions’.

Since moving to Ottawa, Canada in 2011, Ed has been a JUNO Award winning trumpeter and has performed and collaborated with a number of incredible North American musicians including Jann Arden, Sloan (Canadian rock legends), Jerry Granelli (Canadian drummer and composer who’s best known work is the Charlie Brown Christmas) and the Temptations. Ed has also created many projects that were made possible by the opportunities and creative spaces that this city provides. These projects include his 11 piece ‘Prime Rib Big Band’ which has performed many shows since the bands formation in 2017 including a standing monthly residency at the iconic ‘Irene’s Pub’ in Ottawa. Ed performs as a session musician in many other bands and ensembles in Ottawa. Ed’s time is split equally between performance and composition. Ed’s music has been featured many times over the last 8 years on CBC radio, CTV,  Rogers T.V, Ottawa University CHUO & Carleton CKCU radio and the Ottawa Citizen to name a few. Ed also runs the Carleton University Jazz Ensemble which specializes in Big Band performance and original compositions.
