A reading of this famous tale by Alphonse Daudet will be interspersed with the most beautiful noëls by Daquin and Dandrieu. *Presented in French Artists François Zeitouni, organ and harpsichord A native of Montreal, François Zeitouni enjoys a double career as an organist and a pianist. While he studied organ, harmony and improvisation with Raymond Daveluy, he was, at the same time, studying piano and chamber music in Lise Boucher’s class at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Montreal, where he graduated “with great distinction.” He pursued his piano studies in London with Maria Curcio and attended chamber-music workshops and master classes at the Orford Arts Centre as well as in England at Prussia Cove’s International Musicians Seminar. François Zeitouni regularly performs as a recitalist, on both organ and piano. He performed for a number of music associations, including the Festival de Lanaudière, the Société de musique de chambre de Québec, the Société du Palais Montcalm, Les Amis de l’orgue de Québec, Opus 130, Les Petits violons and Jeunesses Musicales of Canada with whom he undertook a 35-concert tour during the 2002-2003 season. Much in demand as a chamber musician, he has played alongside such well-known artists as Stéphane Fontaine, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Benoit Loiselle and Olivier Thouin, as well as with the Ensemble Romulo Larrea. Some of his performances have been broadcast over Radio-Canada and the CBC.
