Orchestre de l’Agora – Schubert: The Dream

Schubert Lieder – Year 1

In 1822, Franz Schubert wrote down one of his dreams. In this opening concert of Schubert’s complete lieder, Nicolas Ellis and Ema Nikolovska draw upon ideas from this dream to lead us on a journey into the composer’s imagination, with orchestrations by Berlioz, Webern, Reger, and Ian Cusson as well as excerpts from his symphonies.
