Wooden Shapes – Du Classique au Rock!

In this highly dynamic rock show, discover classical instruments like never before! The string sextet Wooden Shapes offers a unique experience in Quebec by revisiting the iconic names of rock that have marked multiple generations. Together, they push the boundaries of their classical instruments—violins, violas, cello, and double bass—to offer never heard before interpretations of the music of Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Les Cowboys Fringants, and many others.

Motivated by a common desire for creativity and the pleasure of playing together, the Wooden Shapes sextet distinguishes itself by the arrangement of popular songs and by the composition of its own musical pieces inspired by classical styles, film scores and music popular in a rock style.
