Business, Sports, Arts & Entertainment Communities raise funds for mental health initiatives and housing for autistic adults

The inaugural edition of the Barry F. Lorenzetti Foundation’s Foundation Cup took place recently at the Bell Centre under the title sponsorship and Honorary Presidency of Maxime Ménard, President & CEO of Fiera Capital Canada and Global Private Wealth.  Major Event Sponsor BFL Canada and Major Contributing Sponsors National Bank, Broccolini and IMMO Marketing helped in raising much needed funding for mental health initiatives of the Barry F. Lorenzetti Foundation who is partnering this year with the Vero and Louis Foundation which supports housing for autistic adults.

The hockey event was a remarkable success, raising $150,000.The funds raised will make a significant contribution to the philanthropic initiatives of both Foundations..

The Lorenzetti’s team took on the Morissette team in a friendly, electrifying duel in which former NHL players, Olympians and Quebec cultural personalities shared the ice with passion and commitment.

Among the NHL alumni players & women Olympians who took part were: Patrice Brisebois, Paul Byron, Francis Bouillon, Mathieu Dandenault, Pascal Dupuis, Richard Sévigny, Sergio Momesso, Alexandre Daigle, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Stéphane Quintal, Bruno Gervais, Lucien DeBlois, Caroline Ouellette and Julie Chu, along with Jean-Philippe Wauthier and Justin Morrisette from the Arts & Entertainment community, and Jonathan Goldbloom, President of the Hockey Canada Foundation.
