Montreal Chamber Music Festival presents

Adieu Quatuor Emerson!

After a 43-year career, the final live concert by the Emerson Quartet in Montreal!

“The Emerson performances represented an extraordinary fusion of experience and authority with audacity and freshness.” — The Boston Globe

After 43 seasons of concert giving the Emerson Quartet, one of the world’s premier chamber music ensembles, will be retiring in the fall of 2023. June 6th, 2023 will be the final concert at the Montreal Chamber Music Festival, the last concert in Canada and your last chance to hear the Emerson Quartet live. The Canada’s brilliant 27-year-old star pianist Jan Lisiecki will join the quartet to perform the beloved Dvořák Piano Quintet. Colleagues for five decades, Festival Artistic Director Denis Brott will join his friends in a performance of one of the greatest chamber works ever written, Schubert’s Two Cellos Quintet in C Major.
