Igloofest is finally back this winter and is determined to make up for its two-year absence. From January 19 to February 11, 2023 (Weekends Only), some of the biggest names on the electronic scene, rising stars and leading Montreal artists will converge on the Old Port of Montreal for a high-energy reunion! Come celebrate the 15th anniversary of the winter party extravaganza that has gained international fame. Cold weather warriors, extreme conditions are coming, so get out your bright ski jackets and your wildest dance steps, the hottest party of the winter is coming your way!

Hot stars to melt the ice

Igloofest will kick off its 15th anniversary festivities with a bang on Thursday, January 19, with the percussive and colourful rhythms of Australian producer Flume, in his first performance in Montreal since 2019. The next day, prolific British duo CAMELPHAT, regular Grammy Award nominees, will spread their infectious positive energy with their catchy hits. On Saturday, January 21, American Porter Robinson (DJ set) and his emotional EDM will close the first weekend. The following week will be just as exciting with some formidable acts from France: dark master of synthwave Kavinsky will share his music on Thursday, January 26. Worakls will perform his melodic electro magic on Saturday, January 28. And on the Vidéotron stage, rising techno star u.r.trax will be performing. On Friday, January 27, Igloofest will welcome the name that’s on every Deep House fanatic’s lips: Swiss artists Nora En Pure. For its third weekend of dancing under the stars, Igloofest will offer adventurous rhythms, mixing hip-hop, wild beats and techno influences. On Thursday, February 2, rapper Hamza will bring his unique rap sounds to the Sapporo stage, with opening act Vladimir Cauchemar. On Friday the 3rd, bands Bob Moses and WhoMadeWho will serve up their DJ sets for their dancing audience. On Saturday February 4th, the weekend will close with performances by the artists of local label Kannibalen Records: Black Tiger Sex Machine and Apashe. With such hot bands and artists, is Igloofest really the coldest festival in the world?

For the final weekend, on Thursday, February 9th, the Boiler Room, a legend of the global electronic scene, will serve up a fine program on its own, intimate stage. Limited seating is available! The next day, Tiësto will be among us to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Igloofest: a huge name in the world of EDM, probably one of the most famous ever to attend the festival, Tiësto will treat Igloofans to one of the wildest nights in its history. Next comes the moment everyone has been waiting for: dancing to the melodic sounds of Anjunadeep. Igloofest 2023 will close on Saturday, February 11, with some cult British stars: Ben Böhmer, CRi, Eli & Fur, Olan and Yotto.

Montreal, always in the spotlight!

As with every edition of Igloofest, local turntable warriors will shine front and centre. On the playbill: dancing with of CFCF, the poignant melodies of CRi, the frenzied techno of Lis Dalton and the colorful music of The Holy, the explosive bass of VILIFY and the reunion of French star Bambounou with Montreal artist Priori from NAFF. These are just a few of the ingredients of the explosive local cocktail being served up on this on anniversary edition. Get ready: we’ll see you in the snowstorm!
