Jireh Gospel Choir and Montreal Gospel Choir present

Noël Gospel

JIREH Gospel Choir, based in Montreal and directed by Carol Bernard, has carved out quite a name for itself in the music industry in Canada and Europe. Composed of about fifteen singers plus musicians, JIREH members have travelled throughout the province of Quebec, to the rest of Canada, to the United States, and all the way to France and Italy to share their love for gospel music and spread its contagious energy. Whether performing outdoors or in an intimate setting, the choir delivers a powerful punch that leaves no one unmoved. From timeless classics to original compositions, JIREH perfectly combines traditional and contemporary gospel sounds.

Their album “Get Up” received the Gospel Album of the Year award from the Gospel Music Association Canada. In July 2022, the 15 singers and 5 musicians set the outdoor stage of the Festival international de jazz de Montréal on fire for the third time in front of tens of thousands of people, and in 2019 the singers took part in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas concerts, broadcast by Ici Radio-Canada Télé.

Montreal Gospel Choir, founded in 2011 by Carol Bernard, continues to enchant it’s growing audience through its musical excellence and vibrant performances. This 80-voice choir is composed of men and women of different cultures and ages, a beautiful representation of the city of Montreal. The words family, love, joy, innovation, infectious energy, and goose bumps are often associated with MGC.

“It was a breathtaking, inspiring, exciting, professional and truly joyful moment: Gospel at its best for our city during the holiday season …” – George W. Greene, Executive Director, St-Michael’s Mission
