Clavecin en concert presents

A musical celebration of the Nativity

A traditional festive Nativity-themed concert. Along with traditional songs that we all love to hear and hum along to are French hymns and carols from different lands. Two emerging and talented singers, baritone Hugo Laporte and mezzo-soprano Rose Naggar-Tremblay, are joined by the Clavecin en concert instrumental ensemble, conducted by Luc Beauséjour. And the superb vocal quartet Ensemble Cochléa treat us to their clever arrangements.

Rose Naggar-Tremblay, Contralto

Contralto Rose Naggar-Tremblay began her musical training with the piano and choral singing, then began classical singing at the age of 12 at the preparatory music school at UQAM and then at the Cegep de St-Laurent. She continued her studies at McGill University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance, with a minor in European literature and culture. She joined the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal from 2017 to 2020, where she stood out for her dark and velvety voice.

Hugo Laporte, Baritone
