Festival Stop Motion Montreal

The first festival in the world dedicated to promoting films created exclusively using stop motion animation techniques. Since 2009, professionals, students, families, and newcomers have gathered to enjoy the best stop motion productions from around the world. Social networking and various workshops for professionals and the general public are organized each year.

Right in the heart of downtown Montreal at Concordia University, Festival’s screenings and conferences take place in the J.A. de Sève Theater located in the McConnell Library building. A second screening room is located in the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV) just across Mackey street. You will find our hands-on stop motion workshops and other free activities in its atrium this year.
