YATAI week 2022YATAI MTL – June 10 to 12, 2022
Three days of celebration of Japan and its street food in the park of the Marché des Possibles and at the beautiful Entrepôt 77 in Mile End. Culinary booths will offer a menu of Japanese street food. Montrealers will also discover numerous merchants and exhibitors of Japanese products. Several activities will be presented as well as a cultural program that attracts, each year, more than 15,000 passionate and curious people.

YATAI week 2022Throughout the weekend: presentation and tasting of traditional Japanese beverages: Sake in partnership with the SAQ, ASQ (Association Saké Québec) and Gekkeikan. Whiskies in partnership with Beam Suntory and the number one beer in Japan, Asahi Super Dry.
● Thursday, June 9, starting at 6 pm at the Cinéma du Parc: Presentation of the film Lost in Translation with a whisky tasting courtesy of Suntory.
● Friday June 10th from 5:45pm at the Entrepôt77: A musical performance by Ameno Ato, a Taiko duet and a 2 minutes acrobatic performance by Hayato.
● Saturday, June 11 at 1pm at the Laurier Park Dog Park: The third edition of the Shiba and Akita gathering, two very famous dog breeds in Japan that are all the rage!
Shiba● Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 June at 2pm at l’Entrepôt77 / FAMILY EVENT: Live piano performance of music from Ghibli films with Kanae Nobori and her young pianists.
● Saturday June 11 at 4pm at the Entrepôt77: Airin No Botan and Hajikami, two local Japanese music groups.
● Saturday June 11th from 5pm to 11pm at l’Entrepôt77: An 80s Japan party. The years when everything was possible! On the program: DJ RAWHIDE and DJ NGL Flounce & Frantz Lin from the Transpacific Express collective.
● Sunday, June 12 at 1pm at l’Entrepôt77: Concert by MTL Shamisen Project, a performance of traditional and modern shamisen pieces, a traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument with a unique sound.
● Sunday June 12 at 7pm at the Entrepôt77: Japanese karaoke competition with host Satya Wayne from Dove Raven, and a passionate jury: Serge Nakauchi Pelletier (teke teke), Marie-Hélène L. Delorme (Fox Trott) and Yasuko Tadokoro (YATAI MTL).

YATAI MTL – JAPAN WEEK events are free and open to all. Dogs are welcome.
