A graduate of Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal, Simon Leclerc studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and quickly immersed himself into a multitude of musical spheres: from pop backup singer (Céline Dion) to musicals (Gala, Les Misérables), he quickly became a highly sought-after arranger-composer for Québec artists.

Les Cowboys Fringants are a Quebec folk rock music group formed in Repentigny, Quebec, in the mid 1990’s.  They perform Québécois néo-trad music (modernized Quebec folk music with a country / rock flavour). They have an international following, especially in France, French-speaking Belgium and Switzerland. The band has won 17 Félix Awards and sold over 1 300 000 albums.
