Maison symphonique de Montréal presents

Stravinsky’s the Soldier’s Tale

In the company of the Soloists of the OSM, follow the unfortunate adventures of a soldier struggling with the devil, staged in two different productions (French and English). The Soldier’s Tale, which grew out of deep collaboration between Stravinsky and the Swiss writer Ramuz, is an eminently original work embracing theatre, stage music and comedy. Its good-natured atmosphere and jazz and ragtime accents reflect the spirit of Paris during the Belle Époque. This is an opportunity to discover or revisit a richly inventive creation.
