Centaur Theatre’s Wildside Festival extended The Montrealer January 24, 2021 1076 Centaur Theatre’s Wildside Festival (online) extended to January 31 Despite Covid, curfews and the cold, Centaur Theatre quickly adapted to current circumstances to produce its annual Wildside Festival. The 24-year-old festival, billed as the hottest two weeks of winter, has been extended for the entire month of January, and is completely online and entirely free! The eclectic line-up offers a fantastical shadow puppet journey, an audio sci-fi drama, a 21st Century Joan of Arc, a cabaret, and a four-part series exploring the nature of time inspirited by Seneca’s Stoic ruminations. There are also interviews with the creators. It’s a wild departure into online theatre to keep those Covid blues at bay … at least for the month of January.
