Maison symphonique de Montréal presents

Beethoven’s Exquisite Symphony no. 7

Under the direction of Montreal conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, famously referred to “The Apotheosis of Dance,” is propelled by irrepressible rhythmic drive, in vivid contrast with the dreamy and poetic world of Chausson’s Poème de l’amour et de la mer. This work for voice and orchestra offers the perfect musical setting for the profound, rich tones of OSM Artist-in-Residence Marie-Nicole Lemieux. In her Concerto for Orchestra, Ana Sokolović, also an OSM Artist-in-Residence, gives introspection and action successive musical expression.
