In the ten years since her death, Kate McGarrigle’s legacy has indeed lasted and thrived. There have been tribute concerts in New York, London, Montreal and Toronto; a film titled Sing Me the Songs that Say I Love You with an accompanying CD, a Canadian postage stamp, a book Mountain City Girls: The McGarrigle Famiky Album written by Anna and Jane McGarrigle , and every year – a reincarnation of the family Christmas show now curated by her children, Rufus and Martha Wainwright.

Circling their energies around their sister, mother, aunt and grandmother, Kate, this distinctive Quebecois gang of extraordinary musicians will gather to acknowledge the 10th anniversary of her death, celebrate her birthday and perform her amazing songbook. Starring her sister and musical partner, Anna McGarrigle, her children, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Jane McGarrigle, Sylvan and Lily Lanken plus Vinnie Dow and Kathleen Weldon.
