Mozart: The Dawn of Revolution

In the years leading up to the revolution, Paris was the stage of the most prestigious musical gatherings. The Concert Spirituel, for example, premiered works by Mozart, and the Concerts de la Loge Olympique witnessed the first performance of Haydn’s famous “La Reine” symphony. For the first time at the helm of Arion, the eminent French conductor and flutist Alexis Kossenko will also offer a superb flute concerto by François Devienne, the “French Mozart.”
