In celebration of the launch of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec’s 35th edition, we present an opening night with special meaning, and everyone can participate in the pyromusical fun! Let us go back in time and listen to what was playing at that time. We are opening this season with a bang of lights and sound featuring big hits of 1985 by David Bowie, Bryan Adams, Eurythmics, Genesis, Madonna, Offenbach and more. Hands Fireworks, who participated in the competition in 1985, is back this year and will dazzle audiences on the opening night of this 35th edition of the competition. Established in 1873, Hands Fireworks is the oldest firm of its kind in Canada and is currently run by a team of dedicated individuals with a strong relationship with Lidu International, a pillar in the Chinese fireworks industry. Hands Fireworks was the second runner-up at the 9th Philippines International Pyromusical Competition in 2018. The firm presented its pyromusical display at the Lac des Nations (Sherbrooke) Fireworks Festival in 2013 and 2015, and is the official fireworks supplier at the Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa since 2012. The fireworks start at 10 pm, rain or shine.
