CASTALIAN QUARTET

Founded in 2011, the Castalian String Quartet is applauded internationally as a captivating ensemble that breathes new life into the repertoire for string quartet. They perform one of Schubert’s most beloved pieces, as well as Haydn’s most widely performed quartet. Along with these two exemplars of the genre, a work by Benjamin Britten, one of their greatest compatriots from the 20th century, completes the program.
