Cendrillon à Berlin

Jean-François Rivest and Walter Boudreau share the direction of l’Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal in this eclectic program, which will see you travelling from Moscow to Berlin via Montreal. Between Cendrillon, Prokofiev’s mythical ballet written at the twilight of the Second World War, and the fourth part of Boudreau’s Berliner Momente, strongly inspired by famous passages by Haydn and Wagner, both conductors offer us expansive orchestral music of in the grandest symphonic tradition.

A fresh wind blows through this passionate and virtuoso evening, as young musicians present us with a world premiere of a work by composer Keiko Devaux, winner in the “Concours de composition de l’OUM.”
