Montreal International Tango Festival

Since 2003 the Montreal International Tango Festival has honored the music, dance and poetry of tango in Montreal.

Each year, Argentine tango masters, dancers and musicians alike, gather along with amateurs from all around the world for the pleasure of Montrealers. They present a rich program which comprises master classes, concerts, shows and dancing evenings, also known as milongas.

Each year, the FITM presents music of the highest quality performed by musicians from Argentina as well as from Quebec. Many free concerts are offered outdoors and are open to the public at large. The orchestras also present concerts during milongas (dance evenings with live music) and in renowned theatres. The FITM offers, apart from the concerts section, an intensive dance training program with workshops for beginners and dancers of all levels with guest masters.

 33 classes –  9 dancers – 5 milongas – 3 shows – 1 orchestra
