Ian Bostridge

Winter Journey

Schubert’s Winterreise stands as one of the most deeply moving song cycles in the history of music. English tenor Ian Bostridge has put his stamp on the cycle by performing it over a hundred times. He has also made a critically acclaimed recording and written a prize-winning book devoted to it, Schubert’s Winter Journey: Anatomy of an Obsession. With the peerless collaboration of pianist Julius Drake, Bostridge brings the Journey to its apogee.
