NORDICITY The Danish have a concept called hygge, assembling items that bring comfort and warmth, whether they be design elements or good wine, pleasant company and ambiance. Hygge, the Danish recipe for happiness, might just explain why Danes are often considered the happiest people in the world!
The word that most closely resembles hygge in our vocabulary is cocooning. The Swedish, who are keen on authenticity, have their own way of thinking about and living their nordicity. It is illustrated in their sober, minimalist designs with pure and simple shapes, focused on an item’s functionality.

SHADOWS AND LIGHT NEW! This year the SIDIM is organizing the SHADOWS & LIGHT conference/exposition on the world of lighting. The industry’s major stakeholders will be on hand to present new trends in this burgeoning sector, both in terms of product design and continuous technological improvement. In addition to exhibitors, a seminar will provide a better understanding of this fascinating industry’s various sectors.

Over 250 products created by over 50 designers and artisans from Quebec… FOR SALE during the 3-day show! Great finds, just in time for Mother’s Day!

NEW IN 2017: A SECTION DEDICATED TO GOURMET PLEASURES! Olive oil, chocolate, mustard, confectionery, spices – not to mention craft beer, wine and local ciders… would you like a taste? The enthusiasts and the curious in search of authentic flavours and new local and artisan products will be in heaven at the first edition of the Flavour’s Avenue.
