Merry Montreal is the flagship Montreal holiday event.

Presented in the Old Montreal and the Old Port, the event enjoys a beautiful atmosphere to offer free activities to kids, adults and families in order to spark the Christmas magic in all of us.

From December 1st to January 1st, Old Montreal and the Old Port celebrate the holidays, thanks to the 4th edition of Merry Montreal. Enjoy magic moments in the beautiful and unique decor of one of the oldest neighbourhoods in North America. Take a stroll through beautiful streets and discover activities, historical cachet, restaurants, boutiques and hotels.

The Jolliest Market in Town

Open to all and located on Canada’s busiest public square, the Place Jacques-Cartier Christmas Market is the perfect spot to get carried away by the magic of the holiday season. Popular and festive, visitors find Christmas gifts, delight in gourmet products and enjoy the evening with friends tasting offers from some of Quebec’s best microbreweries.

Free Activities for the whole family
With its free activities for the whole family, Merry Montreal creates a sense of wonder, crafts memories and brings Holiday magic to life. It’s a playground for the young and the young at heart, where smiles and fun are guaranteed!

Santa’s Photo Workshop

With the help of the North Pole Elves, your kids can talk to Santa! Beware… He’ll know if you’ve been naughty or nice, so be good and he might compliment you on your attire or even make a gift magically appear!
