Orchestre de la Francophonie

15th Anniversary Concert

With the help of the Alliance des Chorales du Québec and more than a hundred of its members, the Orchestre de la Francophonie celebrates its fifteenth anniversary at Maison symphonique de Montréal. An exceptional opportunity for the Orchestre de la Francophonie to offer a privileged access to a symphony time of high level and in the best conditions, to the greatest number.

The Orchestre de la Francophonie (OF) was established in 2001 during the Fourth Francophone Games in Ottawa-Hull. It quickly became an exceptional springboard for the best young musicians from Quebec and Canada who wish to pursue a career in a professional set.

Since its foundation, under the inspired direction of conductor Jean-Philippe Tremblay, the Orchestra has ensured the success of more than 340 concerts, not only at home, but also in the United States, in Germany and in China. As part of his concerts, nearly 90 soloists have played with the OF, and 43 works by young Quebec and Canadian composers were commissioned and created. To this day, 1,320 musicians have benefited from their passage within the OF, and nearly 75% have integrated national and international orchestras.
