The Montreal Chamber Music Festival presents

Sounds like Strads

As a rousing conclusion to the Festival, many of the recent winners of the Canada Council’s Musical Instrument Bank (MIB) competition.  They will perform on the exceptional collection of great violins and cellos loaned to the MIB, and made by the likes of Antonio Stradivarius, Guarnerius del Gesu and other great Italian luthiers. Valued at over 40 million dollars, the collection produces a string sound unlike any you have ever heard. Each a brilliant soloist in their own right, together, these young stars make musical magic happen. Repertoire includes Mozart and Bartok Divertimenti and Dvorak’s tuneful Serenade for Strings. This concert will leave you uplifted and filled with youthful energy.
