J.-S. Bach Christmas Oratorio (Cantatas 1, 2 & 3)

As part of the complete Bach cantatas series launched by the Arte Musica Foundation at Salle Bourgie, I Musici presents the first three cantatas of the Christmas Oratorio. Bach’s monumental six-cantata masterwork was never meant to be played in a single day. The first three are dedicated to the days around Christmas, and the other three to New Year’s Day, the day after, and Epiphany. The first three thus cover the most festive and joyful parts of the nativity: the birth, the annunciation to the shepherds, and the adoration of the shepherds. It is I Musici’s gift to you.
