Canadian coloratura soprano Marie-Ève Munger currently leads a flourishing international career. First Prize recipient at the Marmande International Singing Competition (France), she quickly established her reputation thanks to her pure voice that rises up effortlessly, her stratospheric register and her keen dramatic flair. The plenitude of her highest notes, combined with her full and sonorous medium and low register, arouse great acclaim. Her beautiful pianissimi and her impressive range of tone colours serve interpretations of keen musical intelligence. A sought-after artist, her future projects include the roles of Isabelle in Le Pré au Clercs at the Paris Opéra-Comique, Princesse et le Feu in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges under maestro Esa-Pekka Salonen, Rosa in the opera Don Bucefalo by Cagnoci at the Wexford Opera Festival in Ireland, as well as the release of her first solo recording and many concerts and recitals throughout Canada. Recipient of the Wirth Scholarship, she obtained her master degree in performance from the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in 2007. Already drawing substantial praises, this young soprano is a name to watch for!
