28th Festival International Nuits d’Afrique de Montréal

SUPERCHARGED, COMMITTED, UNIFYING… AND ALWAYS AUTHENTIC

The Festival International Nuits d’Afrique is an international event that brings thousands of spectators eager to discover the music and cultures from Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. More than 90 concerts, workshops and activities presented at indoor and outdoor venues in the heart of downtown Montreal.

More than 600 artists, from 35 countries, will be performing during the festival’s 13 days. The “Grands Événements” series presents frontline artists whose stellar reputations are well deserved and well established. The festival’s Rendez-vous series has brought together artists of African origin with “western” musicians and these close encounters have often been the most enriching Nuits d’Afrique experiences. Seven indoor venues will house the concert series events. Outdoor concerts will be held on the Parterre du Quartier des spectacle, from Wednesday, July 16 to Sunday, July 20.

Traditional, urban or electro, whether purely festive or resolutely committed, wherever it comes from, world music in its many styles is always authentic, deeply rooted in the African continent, the cradle of humanity, and ingrained in its values.

FROM LOCAL TO GLOBAL, THE EMPHASIS IS ALWAYS ON QUALITY…
