The eclectic concert featuring Jens Lindemann and his Golden Trumpet with the soprano voice of Shannon Mercer and the Casavant organ of St. George’s Church played by Erik Reinart; this ensemble will present a variety of works such as a tribute to Maurice André, Adolph “Bud” Herseth, Wynton Marsalis and Allen Vizzutti. You will first hear the Trumpet and Strings Concerto by Allan Gilliland, one of the most distinguished Canadian composers, followed by works for strings, brass, voice and organ by Neruda, Handel, Gershwin and Waller. It will be a first for the organ at the Festival.
