Russian Legends

The witch Baba-Yaga, the Firebird, the courageous Ivan Tsarevich… These legendary characters of Russian folklore come to life in a new production by the OSM under the direction of Dina Gilbert, assistant conductor of the Orchestra. Inspired by tales from the land of the tsars, this voyage into the world of imagination features some of the jewels of the Russian symphonic repertoire, including Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and other works by Stravinsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Tchaikovsky. Actors and scriptwriters Mélanie Delorme and Éloi Cousineau will come along for the ride!
