Buddy Guy – April 5, at the Métropolis

Buddy Guy is among those pioneers who first fashioned the “West Side” Chicago style, and his mantel can barely hold up the innumerable awards he’s garnered over the course of a 50-year-career. With his inimitable voice, supercharged guitar and legendary verve, the immortal Buddy Guy returns to thrill us all at Métropolis. He’ll roll in with his latest album, the excellent Rythmn & Blues, and a band including one of his musical heirs, brilliant guitarist and singer Jonny Lang—who’ll also play some of his own hits. It’s an absolutely must-see evening of pure blues!
