Returning after her three memorable solo concerts, a career first, in Théâtre Maisonneuve during the 2011 edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, the singer and pianist will present material from her new album, Glad Rag Doll. Produced by T Bone Burnett and conceived in the company of such high-calibre musicians as guitarist Marc Ribot and drummer Jay Bellerose, the work marks a shift in musical direction for the B.C. native, who arranges a bouquet of popular songs dating mostly from the ’20s and ’30s.
