The first live concert we took our kids to see was The Beatles. Actually – it was a group called Rain performing a show of Beatle music – Experience The Beatles with RAIN. With an exact reproduction of The Beatles songs and wardrobe – RAIN’s performance was outstanding. Those of us who came of age during the 60’s when The Beatles were dominating the pop charts, were transported back to our collective youth; remembering that first kiss, falling in love, and those myriad adolescent feelings and emotions.

Our children came away with a solid of idea of who The Beatles were, and what their music still means.

RAIN went on to perform around the world, and the group has recently completed a long Broadway engagement. The group is moving on to perform is London’s West End theatre district.

Following their New York City success, the internationally-acclaimed Beatles review, Experience the Beatles with RAIN, returns to Montreal for a limited six-show engagement at Place des Arts.

The Beatles are back!

In a show the Associated Press calls “the next best thing to seeing The Beatles,” RAIN boasts a repertoire of 31 Beatles favorites, ranging from such beloved songs as I Want To Hold Your Hand and Hard Day’s Night, to Yesterday and Hey Jude to classic hits including Revolution and Come Together.

RAIN covers the Fab Four from their very first Ed Sullivan Show appearance through the Abbey Road album, through the psychedelic late 60’s and their long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days. RAIN is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience, including a fusion of historical footage, hilarious television commercials from the 1960’s, and live close-ups.

For the band members, the music is first and foremost. For more than two decades, RAIN has
distinguished itself by focusing on details, always remaining faithful to The Beatles with the ultimate goal of delivering a perfect note-for-note performance. All the music is performed live, with no pre-recorded tapes or sequences. The show even includes some of the most complex and challenging songs that The Beatles themselves never performed live.

Experience The Beatles with RAIN will run from August 15 to 19 at Théâtre Maisonneuve (Place des Arts). Two matinee performances are scheduled in addition to the four evening shows. Tickets are available at Place des Arts: (514) 842-2112, and at www.laplacedesarts.com Emjoy!
